Hi I am from Australia and I am looking to buy my first Car GPS and I wondered what was the general opinion about the best one to buy as there are so many out there. I have looked at the Garmin 760, Tom Tom and a Generic one called IGO. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Well, it's not here it's bucketing down, but welcome.

You are probably going to get most people recomending the one they use, with a few exceptions.

My take on it, the big names are TomTom, garmin and navman.
There probably isn't much in it and it is going to be down to personal preferences. None of them are perfect, and that's a fact.

I have an old TT710, it does all I want and bluetooth, maps of Europe and UK.
Some on here say the maps on the TT are better and have a more professional look feel.
Have a demo of them all in the shop and see what looks best to you.
There are lots of addons for them all, probably more for the TT than others.
