Hi All,

I have decided on getting the CoPilot live software for my XDA.

I am now trying to decide which BT GPS I get. I've narrowed it down to either the include CoPilot BT receiver or Navman's 4400 receiver.

The 4400 seems a nice piece of kit, and the AAA batterys and long life is appealing, but I don't want it at the expensive of speed etc..

I have been to the comparision database but the 4400 has to many 'n/a's and to be honest this is all new to me.

I see that CoPilot BT was given gold in the 2003 awards, but it is not clear to me what got this into top place over the rest.

Any help greatly appreciated,
Thanks,

Nick

The CoPilot receiver is simply rock solid and reliable (something not so common in the BT area) . It really comes down to battery life - the CoPilot BT can pull it to six hours plus change. The 4410 obviously has a much longer battery time. Not sure about the 4410 stability, it's too new to judge that.

All I can add here is that the 4400 (aka 4410) receiver is extremely sensitive. I have it located in the centre console out of view and it still manages to get a lock on 4-5 sats and has never lost them on a journey so far. It gets the Thumbs Up from me.

Thanks for the opinions guys Thumbs Up

Well after much deliberation I finally orderd the Copilot bundle.
In the end it came down to money - I think I got a good deal on the bundle which include european map activation.

If I find the battery life of the emac limiting I can always replace at a later date Laughing

Now it is anxious wait to see who will arive first, the Copilot or the XDAII

Hi there

I have a Navman 4100 and am most impressed with it's ability to receive GPS data even when indoors. It seems very sensitive.
