Nuvi 310 Broken: Can I move my euro map to new nuvi

I managed to break the screen on my "old faithful" 2 year old Nuvi 310. Rather than repair I have purchased a new one (cheaper than repair!) It's also a nuvi 310 but it only has UK mapping on it. Can I transfer my new " whole of europe map from the old one to the new one.

In general - the answer is no. The unlock code on the original device is specific to that device - so although you could copy everything - the new unit won't recognise it.

Give GARMIN a call and they may be able to help you out - but it may involve you sending them the broken unit.
