garmin mobile xt on nokia n95 map uninstall ?

Hi
I have been having a play with my garmin software and i have managed to install some additional maps from europe to complement the full uk coverage i initially had.

But now I would like to uninstall the several european regions i installed , i used garmins mapsource software to install them but I cannot see how to get rid of them !!

any ideas ? thanks

If it's the same as the way Garmin used to do it, you use Mapsource to reinstall the data that you actually want, and the new fileset overwrites the old one, deleting any redundant data.

I have both N95 and Mobile XT, so will try to confirm this when I get home this evening.

Thanks very much Tim yes i have tried that and it seems that when maps are loaded from mapsource it deletes all maps currently installed.

I find the garmin mobile Xt excellent apart from 1 or 2 annoying issues !! the problem above being one of them !! You would have thought when installing maps it would be in addition to the maps currently installed ! oh well now I know.

just one other small issue , its after a route has been calculated there seems to be no mention of the distance to destination as in other sat navs I have used in the past.
It has speed and time of arrival but the distance seems to be a glaring omission !!

But apart from the above issues I find the garmin software to be excellent especially considering it is only being run on a nokia N95 and not a purpose built device. Im impressed !
