Hi all

Having found this super site and forums thought I would enlist some advice and helpin buying a PDA sat/nav software and receiver.
I am not sure what would be best for me.
I want to use mainly for navigation purposes on foot and in car.
My budget is about £400-500.

What should I buy.

On foot precludes the use of a GPS mouse which requires a 12v supply. So your options are CF, Bluetooth or perhaps a handheld GPS such as a Garmin and a connecting cable.

You don't say if you already own a PocketPC but a bundle with TomTom , Bluetooth GPS and HP 2210 PocketPC would come in at around £500 inc VAT.

Thanks for the reply Darren.
I do not have a PDA at present and have been looking at the iPaq's and like the spec on the 5500 but it is pricey at present, Is the 2210 OK with only 64mb.
I have also been looking at nav software and like the sound of CoPilot Live.
GPS wise I am not sure. I would like a system that is near wire free but I appreciate my budget is tight.

The 2210 is a better solution than the 5550. Smaller and more compact, it lacks the WiFi but if you really need that get a 4150. You would need a memory card regardless of which solution you chose anyway.

I prefer TomTom but CoPilot is good. My choice would be a 2210, TomTom and the TomTom BT GPS.
