Ford Blaupunkt Travelpilot EX Sat Nav

Hi,

Today I fitted a Ford Travelpilot EX system into my mk3 mondeo, but for some reason it isn't detecting speed at all, got great gps signal just can't get the speed, i thought with my old radio having AVC it should pick up speed ok. Any idea's why it isn't recieving a speed signal?
