Just a quick post.

I was playing about with the MP3 capability of my TomTom to 'just see' how good it was.

Something that has made me throw my iPod into the back of the drawer is how useless it is with compilation tracks, this is even with the latest iPod firmware installed there is a 0.25 gap between tracks.

And I can tell you - the gapless capability of the TomTom out-performed that of my iPod.

Zero gap between tracks - it *just* works as it should.

Maybe TomTom should concentrate on Media players instead?

Could not agree more!

Just got the 520 today and loaded it up with about 180mg's of tunes and set it to both play and give instructions through the radio.

Amazing piece of kit - really really impressed. Great quality even over the radio link thing.

It was the mp3 and the hands-free bluetooth that sold this unit for it over the 1XL. And I'm extremely pleased with my choice!

Worth investing in a 1 or 2gig card to load more tunes on i think Smile

4GB will accept lots more music without too much of a problem, above that and you do encounter problems loading the files to the card whilst in the device, I have an 8GB SDHC in my 720 which is quite happy and performs very well. It is even possible to play music and view/use maps that are installed to the same card - the cards are cheap as chips these days - Mike
