Tom Tom bluetooth

I purchased a bluetooth when they first issued them in July I think it was.
Within 7 months I experienced the same fault as other users i.e. on booting up the blue light clicked on once and then stopped, I sent it back under guarantee and they duly repaired it and sent it back. I experienced exactly the same problem 6 months later, after explaning to them the problem once again I sent it back for what I thought would be a good will gesture repair, nothing of it, they emailed me saying it was out of guarantee and they wanted about £90 to repair it. I told them what I thought of their equipment and asked them to return the item unrepaired, which they did. I shall not be useing B.T. again !!!

The TomTom Bluetooth GPS does seem to have been unreliable for some people.

There's many good alternative Bluetooth GPSes that don't appear to share this unreliability. I'm very happy with my Fortuna Clip On, though I haven't had it long enough to comment on long term reliability.

Thanks for that David but untill I am convinced that they have the better of BT tech. I shall remain with a wired connection,
