Hi! Does anyone know if it is possible to get the Garmin Nuvi370 to 'chime' a warning for red light cameras in the same way as it does for speed cameras. I load the single file database via the Garmin POILoader.

Thanks
Smile

It should still alert you in the same way.

What currently happens?

I see you have the Single File Database. Do you live near the M25 or M42?

Nothing happens at the moment, no visual or audio warning, the camera does not appear as a POI on the screen.

I live near the M25.... why?!

Can you tell us where the camera is, so we can make sure it's in the database?

Try the Consolidated Database and see if this fixes the problem.

M25. There have been issues with the Single File database and the nuvi range where alerts for variable cameras are not appearing. These, like Redlight cameras, have a speed trigger set to 0 mph and fail to appear. Iwas wondering if you could simulate a route through the variable cameras on the M25 to see what happens.

Great, thanks for the suggestions, I'll try the consolidated database and will be driving through a couple of cameras in the next few days so will let you know.

Thanks for such a prompt response.

Very Happy

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like there is some issue with Nuvis and the Single File database. See this thread started by AlanHo....

Funny thing is my old i3 doesn't have this problem.

Ok, an update.... The red light cameras and all other camera now appear on the map ok with the right symbol but there is no 'chime' warning for the red light cameras. Is this right, or should there be a chime?

Thanks?

Is it just the Redlight cameras that don't chime?

Not overly familiar with the Nuvi range but have you checked the Proximity Alert settings?

The way it works on the Nuvi is that when you load your own POIs then you can chose to have alerts for all or non of the POIs, it is not selected per category. I have selected alerts for the custom POIs which is why I get a chime alert for the other cameras.

Could it be to do with the way the POI loader reads the file when it loads it in to the Nuvi that it does not give enough information to make the chime work (no idea how the file is used by the Nuvi so not sure this makes any sense?!)
