I can't get 'Live' to work conencting to a bluetooth mobile from my iPAQ. Have notified ALK who say they are aware of problems with getting Live to connect and are workign on a fix at the moment.
I find I have no 'Enable Wireless' option, which IS shown in the screen shots on the ALK help article about live.

I've had an update from ALK Customer Service today.
Apparantly there is a 'patch' available for download on their website.
QUOTE:
NB: You need to extract (unzip) the contents of the Zip file to your \2577 folder via ActiveSynch or using a Storage Card reader. The \2577 folder is accessible via StorageCard\2577. Please note you will then need to Uninstall CoPilot on your device, and then Re-install CoPilot 7. |

I've downloaded and installed the update and can confirm that it does indeed fix the problem with Live. I can now track myself via the CoPilot website. _________________ Phil Lee

Well I downloaded and installed the patch as instucted above and I still cant get it work. When I reinstall it and connects to the Internet fine and I get an email with a new activation code ect ect.
The problem is when I try to connect to live and press connect I get a screen with Wireless Communication at the top
then
Status
Status
then a white box which can be ticked but nothing to say what you tick it for.
Im using Co Pilot 7 on a O2 XDA Stellar.

Has your upgrade worked?
Goto Settings, About CoPilot to see your Version. |

I had the same problem.
Raised the issue with ALK and they sent me a new version: 7.0.6.121
I installed the new version and it works fine. Surprisingly the new version was smaller than the original at 7,510kb |

Well it appears that the GPS fairygodmother has visited me during the night and sorted out the problem.
When I installed the patch above Im sure it downgraded thew version that I was using and I said above i still had no joy with it.
Well....
Turn my phone on this morning and the first thing I got was do you agree to the terms and conditions for co pilot 7 blah blah. I hit yes and it reinstalled it self again and hey presto Version 7.0.6.121 and is noe working perfect.
Strange...but happy |
