Hi
I'm about to use the RDS-TMC adapter for the first time.
How should I position it on the screen ?
My 520 is sat bottom right corner, should the cable run up, then down the screen.. going back on itself ??
Or should I run it up and across to the left ??
Thanks |

TomTom advise it should run up the A-Pillar a few centimetres out from the pillar itself and then turn 90 degrees and run along the top of the windscreen. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Move it around until you find the best position for your vehicle. Mine works best laying along the bottom of the windscreen. |

Reception around the Fylde is poor, once you get about 20 miles South of Preston reception will improve but it won't be 100% with the aerial deployed as described the only other thing I would avoid is using the devices FM Transmitter between the frequency of 99.9 to 102.0 as this is the main range used by Classic FM to send the data out.
Preston to Ashford in Kent will get you better reception, I have done the trip quite a few times, once South of the M6 Toll entry reception is as close to 100% as you will get - Mike |

Thanks
Preston to M58 was a bit hit and miss.
M58 to Keele was OK.
Keele to Coventry worked well.
I got a few warnings on the way back, but only short delays.
Thanks for your advice..
I'll see how it goes to Ashford. |

It is a bug in Navcore 7 - log it with TT as a support call as to why the dekay info only shows as 1 minute.
Also, can you check next time you are out and about that when you get more than one incident on route that the traffic sidebar shows no incidents at all?

Just got back from driving to Ashford.
On the way down the M1 I was warned about an accident, then about a major crash and was told the delay would be 245minutes.. Do you want to reroute ?? It took me different way and added 45 minuted to my journey.
Coming back this morning, on the M20 I was told about traffic delays on the M25 total delay 245 minutes (do they like this number ??)
It re routed my around the M25 and up the M40.
Seemed to work OK.. but why was the delay the same ??
Cheers |

That bug doesn't seem to be confined only to TMC. GPRS traffic will show one incident on the side bar but if there are two incidents on route the side bar shows none. |

Most of the time the sidebar only showed 1 item. When there were more the bar changed to show a line with a start and end point.
On my way back yesterday I did notice 2 items on hte sidebar.
1 was lane closure, the other a crash.. They stayed on the sidebar for about 30 minutes.. then disappeared when another incident happended.. |
