Latest Version Crash - Help!!

Ok so I've updated to the 2.2.1.58 of Tomtom Home

As soon as I connect my Go520 to the pc, the auto update kicks in, within 20 seconds or less, it locks up, and then goes on to totally lock my laptop.

Running a fully updated Vista Home Premium, using B/band, no pc problems whatsoever, but when TT Home locks, the lot screws up, I can't even use CTRL ALT DEL. The only option is a forced power down.

Assuming that Tomtom have screwed up again and not fully tested this update....as now seems to be the norm....
is there anyway I can take a step back and find the previous version to this latest crap??
Gonna need a link or something....had to del that updated version....nothing but trouble!
