S90i Maps - Activated?

Thinking of buying a S90i (have had a 630 for 4+ years) and I know all the problems users have listed here. I get the impression that whilst it has its faults (and perhaps SP1 may solve some of them) my question relates to the maps installed.

Reading between the lines of the manuals and blurb on Navman's site, can I assume that the maps for Western Europe are already activated unlike the S50/70 which have to be paid for separately? I need something to take me round Holland in a couple of weeks (from Hook of Holland to the tanker berths on the other side of the river initially) and then later on around France/Germany on business. I need it down to street level preferably so any experience users have of using this unit over there would be helpful.

If you think another make/model with similar size screen & built-in UK traffic avoidance would be better then would appreciate suggestions. I'm not worried about the POI limit as never use the PGPSW camera files.
