Hello
This question may have already been asked, but here goes. I have downloaded POI,s from this site to computer and i am intending putting them on SD card for Nuvi 760.
When i try and copy them from unzip file to SD card using POI loader i have message saying Media is write protected.
Can anyone please help to explain to me what the problem is and how to fix.
Thanks

On the SD card is a small slider switch. This is the write protect switch. can you check and confirm it is the 'unlocked' position? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren
The lock tab on the side of the SD card is in the unlock position.

Eventually got POI,s onto a brand new SD card. The old ones i have have been used in digital camera and i am reliably informed the camera puts two folders onto SD card which you cannot remove and makes the card useless to anything but the camera.Problem solved

Colin I'm glad to hear it the issue is resolved but the information you have been given is bogus.
Yes cameras will create folders on cards used in them but they can be deleted and or the card can be formatted. All you need is a card reader, insert the card, browse to it in Explorer and delete the folders. _________________ Darren Griffin |
