The next step depends entirely on whether you had already made backups of your machine while it was working. If you have, it should be easy...

Also, to save people writing the same thing over and over, have a look at some of the many similar questions in the last page or two of the index, to see if they have any clues.
Try some of those suggestions and report back...

Thanks for the reply. Now sorted - I've re-connected to TT Home on the PC a few times and it is now working. It takes longer to shutdown and start up, but has worked a few times now. I guess it's the burden of taking this new release.

Excellent... Thumbs Up
Now, do that backup ! Before you forget.

(Use Explorer not Home) see the FAQs HERE (number 1 especially).

also make sure you always use "disconnect device" in Home or "safely remove hardware" in Windows (by the clock) before you unplug the Go from the USB.

It would be nice if we could EDIT the Graphic Screen that shows when the TT is hooked up to the computer to remember to "Safely STOP" but I cannot find that image on the device (920, here). My Creative MP3 can be detached by just unplugging and it is easy to just DO-IT on the TT, too.

Are you sure? Or have you just been lucky?
Any USB device that is unplugged while it is being written to, it may well get corrupted. The basic problem with them is that Windows often looks like it has finished writing well before the write really IS done. That's the reason for the safely remove hardware rule - it won't say it's OK until it really has finished.

If you left the TT for 10 minutes after it looked like it had finished, you probably COULD just unplug it, it s just not a good habit to get into.
