|
|
Hi,
when I use the "navigate to POI" menu and select "POI near you" and then select "Police station" it shows the nearest ones as being a "commissariat" about 89 miles away ? Can anyone tell me how to rectify this issue so that I get local ones shown.
Thanks |

Well, I was going to suggest you go get yourself a decent set of POIs! However, I did the navigate to police station myself on my new GO920 and was surprised to get very local ones (albeit, not my local one in Keynsham!!).
From the wording you used, I'm guessing you're using a TomTom device, but you haven't said which model and especially have not said how long you've had it, which map version you've got and what software version you have. It may help to get answers if you provide that information. _________________ Dennis

Andy thank you. I have downloaded the file from the link and it works somewhat however it does not find them all by any stretch of the imagination. The database on here seems far more comprehensive but alas you can't use those to navigate to.
Cheers again |

In what way can't you?
The only limitation I can think of is for Doctors/Dentists/etc. from the "Help Me menu".
for everything else, you can always do an ordinary: Navigate to... / POI.
Sequence is:
Navigate to...
POI.
Near me, near Home etc. (annoying isn't it?)
Choose the category
Pick one (or use "find" to get beyond the nearest 24 limit of the list)
There's even a way round the "Help me" limitation if you're desperate. |

I presume you are trying this at home, have you set your home location, otherwise it will calculate from what your home location is if set elsewhere. |
