I have TTGo with v7 software and v5 GB plus map. I am looking at buying a new v7 map. Three questions. 1 Will I be able to use mapshare? 2 If I buy the GB map will it also give me road maps of europe like my current version 5. 3. If I buy the western europe maps can you recommend a size, make and speed of sd card. I assume I will need a 2gb.

Thanks

1. If you have V7.xxx Software and a V7xx Map you will be able to use MapShare.

2. No. There are no Major Roads of Europe included with the UK Map.

3. I used both ByteStor and Kingston Cards in the past. Look for something with about x150 Speed. You could get Western Europe on a 1GB Card, but the cost difference to a 2GB makes the larger a better choice.

The next Western Europe map may be 1.1GB. Smile

Richard

Thanks for that. I need to decide to stay with the TTGo or update it and give the son and buy a 520 or 720 for myself. Are all the features on the 720 working ok now?

They have ALWAYS been working, but some of us got duds (in my case, 5!!). That was the earlier released ones, so it looks like the ones selling now are bug free. It may depend on whether or not you use all the features - hands free, mp3 player, spoken dialogue for navigation instructions.
