Compatibilty and editing the TT's internal Phonebook.

Hi all

I've just upgraded my TomTom and Phone and would like to report that although TT don't have the K850 as a compatible handset, the two work perfectly together when paired.

Full funcionality is there i.e. Handsfree calling, Upload phonebook to TT, SMS to TT (with the funny bloke reading it to you!)

The only thing I've noticed is that the phone like all SE's have multiple numbers under one contact so you end up with a contact of

Steve H/M where /M is the phones way of saying it's a mobile number, this is annoying when the voice reads it out as it doesn't always make sense.

So connect your TT to PC open up the TT Drive and find a folder called 'Contacts' open the folder then open the file called 'Contacts' in notepad and there you can edit your TT's phonebook to get it the way you want it to be. Save your changes and voila!

Another very handy way to edit or add a phone book to a TomTom when using an incompatible phone is to use the spreadsheet available from This Page - Mike
