Geko/Etrex Tracklog upload problem

I have automatic track logging enabled on my Geko, and use it to map out routes that I use regularly.

Having downloaded the (full) tracklog memory using MapSource, weeded out duplicate track segments, then uploaded them back to the unit.

I find that the first ten tracks uploaded have been assigned to the preset memory locations, and the main memory is empty. Presumably, tracks eleven onwards have been lost.

I was expecting the uploaded tracks to go back to the main memory, where they originally came from. Can anybody confirm what the correct behaviour is, and if it's possible to achieve what I've described?
