how to program in city centres

I have a Nuvi 200w and before this I had a mobile phone tom tom, with the Tom Tom I could navigate to the city centre, which is useful if you just want to visit a place, but dont know it. I have tried this with the Nuvi entering Chipping Norton and then it asks for a house number so I just press done it then asks for a street and lists all, I don't know the street names but it wont let me carry on without entering the street name, it may be sending me miles from the center. Anyone know a way round this or have I missed something

Sorry I am an idiot just found the icon 'Cities' I never scrolled down the menu, suppose just got to get the TomTom out my head and learn anew.
