Hi
I have downloaded Webupdater 241 into my computer.
Is this the best data base for my Garmin nuvi 250W?
Will the data base be automatically updated with regard to camera locations and will I be notified of such updates?

Hi and welcome.

Webupdater is a program that downloads the latest FIRMWARE (and other software such as voices) to your Nuvi. It's is not a database of any sorts. Firmware is the software that runs on the Nuvi and updates add features and correct errors such as routing errors (although no changes to maps are made).

To get the camera alerts you either need the one from here (which is better than the Garmin one for a number of reasons - although i might be bias.... ) or the Garmin Cyclops database.

I'm not sure how to update the Garmin Cyclops Database but if Web-Updater is used to update the database then you'll be offered any updates once they are available the next time you run Web-Updater. You might be able to subscribe to an e-mail alert for updates but I'm not sure how they operate it.
