|
|
I have a loox N520 and want to use the tomtom navigator 6.03 (that worked fine on my loox 600) working with it. The problem is I cannot get the inbuilt gps to find satellites. I have downloaded and installed the loox gps quickstart update and tried setting tomtom to both the com hardware and software ports. On the tomtom gps page I have the gps connection icon revolving but cannot get a fix. I have tried several other gps programs and they all work great. It seems tomtom cannot receive the gps data.
I would like to try installing version 6.01 but cannot find it anywhere.
The other option is to go back to ver 5 is this possible?
Any help appreciated, I have spent ages trying to get it sorted.

With the yellow/ Blue disk (top right of the GPS Status page) spinning take the device outside and wait for at leat 15 minutes, do you see any activity at all on the bar graph display ?? - Mike
Edit once to add, go to start/ Settings, system TAb and select memory/ running programs - stop all, now start TomTom and see if it is any different, if you have any other application using the GPS port in the background TomTom won't see the data |

Shut down all programs and left it running outside for 30 mins, all I get is one sat disc at north on compass and sat discs at bottom of bars, no sat activity on the bars, the yellow disc is spinning. My settings are baud rate 9600, com 8 in tomtom and in settings gps baud rate 9600 hardware port com 8 and none for software port. |
