What's currently the closest software package to TomTom in terms of features / ease of use etc?
I've just bought a new Windows Mobile phone, I can't reactivate TomTom6 (too soon) and looks like I won't be able to get TomTom 7 so what should I get? |

Have a look at Route 66 there is a review of it on the forum somewhere - it has improved since the write up, full postcode search is now available, and the rather strange routing problem I experianced with the review copy has been resolved.
It is a solid package, easy to use and comes with free access TMC via the mobile phones GPRS connection, speed camera support and spoken alerts can all be installed, custom voices are possible but not readily available, you have to make your own to do this - Mike |

Can I second Mike's view?
I use both TT (PDA) and Route 66 (Symbian mobile). R66 POI are not quite as flexible as those for TT (from this site) but there are plusses - route recalc speed leaves TT standing for one.
Give it a try, it's a good piece of software.
