Nowthen all,

Just joined after doing some searching and FAQ reading - Great site Very Happy

I am thinking of buying a 520 for my wife for xmas (Halfords currently on offer for £197 with ipod cable online). She has a Samsung U600 and I cant find it on the TT compatibility list nor on here. Has anyone had any experience if U600 does work with handsfree/sms etc.

Also the FM for ipod/MP3/directions, how does this compare to the Griffin iTrip as IMHO think its pretty poor esp cos can only go to 88.2 as was from states. Any thoughts on the FM relative to iTrip and what frequencies are possible with the 520? Also if I do get a buzzing 520, are Halfrauds OK for exchanging due to this issue?

Finally she visits 100s of locations with work (rep), is it best to add these to POI or favourites and is there a limit to the number of these on the 520? Also can POI/favourites be saved as a name (i.e. company) rather than an address?

Many thanks in advance - appols if these have been covered but couldn't find them on searching for the 520.

Wink

Welcome to the forum, The x20 devices can use all of the FM band for transmission (ok so there is 0.5 missing at the bottom of the UK band) but 88 to 107 can be utilized quite effectively, decent sound quality from it can depend upon where you live though =ondon for example suffers from FM Band over crowding so finding a frequency devoid of a transmitter to actually use is problematic, elsewhere it is not really an issue.

Halfords are great for exchanges due to this issue, ask DennisN one of the other mods on the forum who has gone through more 720 devices than anyone else, I guess he was unlucky as my device still works 100%

For lots of locations a custom POI category is better than favourites as you can include (and use) phone numbers etc, simple to set up and easy to use. you can name a single POI entry anything you like!

If you need more help just shout out as someone will be along to help out - Mike
