Does anyone know if it is possible to input a grid ref. (ie lat.+long.) onto a Tom Tom 500, then find that position, + if so. how? |

Assuming you DO mean Lat/Long, then "Yes", it is.
You can now either 'Navigate to..' Lat/Long co-ordinates or just 'Browse Map' and find a position by it's Lat/Long.
It wasn't on original v5 software, but I thought that feature had been there since early versions of v6, what software version are you on? (You can check by tapping on the satellite strength bars and reading it on the next screen).
On v7 (which is all I have in front of me), to Navigate to co-ordinates it is:
Tap screen / 'Navigate to..' / 'Forward arrow' to second page / and 'Latitude / Longitude' is there.
To just view on the map it is:
Tap screen / 'Forward arrow' / 'Browse map' / 'Find' / 'Forward arrow' / 'Latitude / Longitude'.
In all cases you can enter the co-ordinates in either decimal degrees ("N 51.52353") or Degrees and minutes (N 51°27').
You can also choose to have the co-ordinates always displayed at the bottom of the Browse map page by selecting them in the options.
OS Grid ref.s are something else entirely - you can't input those directly, but there are lots of on-line converters, I use this one. |

Many thanks for the info.-I was using software version 5.201,which does not incorporate the 'latitude/longitude' feature; However, version 7.120 does,so I will be upgrading! |
