Using with TOMTOM and a Bespoke Cradle?

I am interested in buying this Emtac BT Reciever...

Just wondering can I use it with my Ipaq 2210 which is in a tomtom bespoke cradle and currently uses a tomtom reciever.

Also if I put the BT reciever on parcel shelf of car, would the gps pick up car as being front still?

always wondered how the gps knows which way your car points, as even if you turn around gps reciever it still points forward?

Yes you can use a BT GPS with your set-up without problems.

The GPS receiver only knows which way you are pointing when you have been moving. Many packages default to pointing North if you are stationary for any length of time as it has know way of calculating this when you are stationary. If you reveresed (not advised!) for a few hundred yards it would then think your boot was your bonnet!

The GPS receiver itself is not directional, it is just an antenna so it matters not which way it is oriented.
