Version 7 Handsfree problem

Hello everyone!!

Just got a reply to a "support question" regarding the hands free function for my mobile phone of my 910. I use this function through an FM mount set to auto answer.

Well TomTom support has just told me this is now not supported in the new release. I wonder if this will appear in there new "secrets" section?

TomTom have this bad habit of not admitting they have a problem until it becomes a major issue then they lead you through lots of time wasting rubbish, why? Surely honesty is the best policy and then keep people informed as to what is the current position, something TomTom never do. They give deadlines for resolution which they do not meet by 4 months with no update unless you ask for it.

Would I buy a TomTom again, No a big no. Great functions but getting a problem resolved is like pulling teeth.

One of the main issues that I have with customer support is that they do their best to explain the current situation, but with no further explanation or information.
So you contact them to say "Handsfree on FM has stopped working on my 910 with the new software" - meaning of course, "Why?" and "When are you going to sort it out?"

However, when they answer, they only say (in effect) "Yes you are right, this functionality doesn't work on the new software".
WHICH IS WHAT YOU JUST TOLD THEM! Evil or Very Mad

Perhaps the next time TomTom send me a customer survey I should respond with "Sorry this function is no longrer supported!"

I have often woundred why TomTom ask cstomers what they think, as they only seem to use the results to show the things they do well and ignore the rest.

As you say being told what you already know is really frustrating. More on what they are going to do about it or the reason behind not supporting it would be better.
