I bought TT navigator 5 ages ago and used it perfectly well with my Imate pocket pc, I have recently upgraded to a TyTN with Windows Mobile 6 but I can't get the software to install. Can someone tell me if there are any upgrades for this software that I need to install or is there something else I need to do.
thanks in advance. |

Use the CAB file installation method to put the software on the device, all you do is copy the CAB file to the device and use File Exlorer on the phone to locate the CAB file and tap it, this will install the TTN5 to your unit, the last version of TTN5 was 5.21 which is available as a download from the TomTom web site - Mike |

Thanks Mike, I've managed to install the CAB file and upgrade it to version 5.2 but I can't seem to install the maps, I keep getting the same error message as before when trying to install via Active Sync:
AppName: setup.exe AppVer: 4.6.2.0 ModName: unknown
Is there another CAB file or some other file I need to copy across to my device again and run from there?

If you have a card reader it will make life so much easier, copying large files to a device using Active Sync is not that reliable to be honest. Once you have the required files (Maps and don't forget the seperate Post Code files) On the memory card take out of the reader and replace it in the device - Mike |

Thanks Mike, thankfully I have a card reader so I'll try and install the maps that way - I take it there is a CAB file for the maps and I just install the same way as the TT5 app?

You just run the installer application with the memory card in the reader and point it to the cards drive letter, it will do the rest - Mike |
