Just a thought does this work on say the 910?.
I dont want to get involved in the legalties of whether it's allowed or not i am simply asking would it work by placing the ASR folder in the root of a x10 unit.

You'd have to find someone with a 910 who has already updated to the latest v710 maps (or maybe 705 in EU?) with the required CSPEECH files to test it. Without the CSPEECH files it won't work on any unit.

You did get an external mike with the 910 though whether it can do this is additional task is unknown, I have given up with this feature on the 720 as it doesn't like a Northern accent - its good fun to demo how bad it actually is, but in use it simply doesn't work for me - Mike

OK messed around a bit, looks to me like it can be done IF you can find a way to get app 7.221 from the 720 or the bit it uses from the app onto the x10. Don't really know why i wanted to try this in the first place? new toy and all that. Embarassed

Come on Mike, your accent is very little different from mine and it works for me. Trouble is, being able to do no more than speak the city, then street, then house number makes it not worth bothering with until they get a decent structure.
