Hi all,
I was just doing some normal things on my 2210 ipaq when it locked up on me. My first reaction was to press the 'soft reset' button on the reverse but it doesn't do anything.
I don't really want to do a 'hard reset' due to all the time it took to set it up.

I can still access my PDA remotley with Active sync and i downloaded a demo of 'dot pocket' which lets me see the screen output but I want some way of doing a remote soft reset. Are there any utils that can do this?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers
Tom

You can initiate a remote soft reset, but that would require that the device (the processor, to be precise) still has enough cycles to respond to your request. If ti is locked up badly then you can only do the soft reset via the physical route, ie pressing the button.

Hi,

I have had this happen to me before. I removed the battery for five seconds and put it back then did a soft reset and it then worked ok. This seems to between a hard and soft reset.
BE WARNED IF THE BATTERY IS OUT TO LONG YOU WILL LOSS YOUR DATA Idea

Mick.
