GlobalSat BC-307 CF problem

Configuration: W2K, front panel for PCMCIA, CF BC-307 with CF-PCMCIA reduction, driver installation is OK (on COM3).

Problem: LED permanently ON, never flashing (=Position Fixed), with external antenna too (unit can “see” the sky, Specification: Cold Start 48 sec. average)

Tested with PortMonitor (Portmon v3.02 from sysinternal.com): no data on COM3

Tested with SirfDemo 3.40 - Switch To NMEA Protocol, in PortMonitor: WRITE TIMEOUT

Is my CF GPS unit defective ? :-(

Hi,

did you ever get this problem solved because I am now getting the exact same. TT GPS doesnt even try and communicate with the card it seems. It all worked fine for me and now all of a sudden I get nothing. How/where do you set drivers for this thing? Is there something like device manager that you have on a pc?
