Hi to all

I’m using p550 with tomtom Western Europe version 650.1057 GPS driver v1.2
I have great difficulty in getting GPS to work eg find sats

In the tomtom display go I to main menu / change preferences/ show GPS status/

Then click the configure button it gives a choice of four options with select under each
1/ tomtom Bluetooth GPS receiver (this has a key above it and 0000)
2/ tomtom wired GPS receiver
3/ other Bluetooth GPS receiver
4/ other nmea GPS receiver

Select “Other nmea GPS receiver” next GPS baud rate window appears, set the GPS baud rate to 4800(click the done button underneath it) the option GPS is connected to: window appears then gives the option
GPS is connected to:
COM3:
TMC_COM
GPS_COM

Select GPS_COM it returns to the GPS status window then select done

Does it matter what the settings are in windows e.g. settings gps program port what should this be set at the options are
Programs tab: None com0 to com9 + Gpd 1 to gpd 5 currently set at com0
GPS tab: None com0 to com9 currently set at None
Baud rate set at 4800
Access tab: Manage GPS currently box with tick option currently unticked

I have tomtom 500 although much bigger works like a dream compared to mio P550

In TT Other NMEA - 4800 - GPS COM is correct.

Try default settings for device.

Settings GPS program port COM4

GPS hardware port COM2 Baud 4800.

Manage GPS automatically Unticked.
