Hi There!!

I'm planning on going to Milton Keynes on Sunday but for some reason the SatNav wants to take me either 130 miles - When I know I can get there in 86!

If I click divert, it gets long. If I avoid major roads, it takes me through villages with 20mph speed limits and adds over an hour to the journey and if I click shortest, it takes me back through the villages.

I know where I should go - but I'd like the ability to put that into the CoPilot . Unfortunately, the CoPilot doesn't let you search by roads (such as A417 and A40 etc).

I'm using CoPilot 6 on PocketPC (my O2 XDA Orbit).

Any help?

Thanks,
Amnesia

Select - Add Stop, Pick on Map, address, UK, Milton Keynes, City Center.
(OR use recent to start at your destination).

Then find a point that you want pass, press on it (At maximum zoom), and select 'Add as Stop'. Give it a name & Apply.

Back in the 'Going To...' screen, select this new stop and 'Set as Waypoint'.

Just ignore it and as your route progresses the device will re-calculate on the fly, you will still get the important speed camera warnings (if you use them) - eventually the device will work out the route you are using and from that point issue correct directions.

If you know best in terms of a specific route I always find the easy option is to simply ignore the device, if you don't know where you are going, then following it will get you to the correct destination.

It might not be the true quickest route, a sat nav is no alternate for local knowledge, but at least you get to where you need to be - Mike
