Hi all I've just got myself 610t so i backed up,upgraded to the 3.8 firmware and backed up again(it was on 2.8 )Then I activated my 3 months camera subscription(will be using this site after free trial ) but I did not register the unit as I have read a few posts about getting free maps later.
I got the yellow unlock slip in the box am I right in thinking I should be able to use this when the v10 maps are released?
I only bought it because I used my bro-in-laws 310 and liked the bluetooth feature, and I liked its ease of use, just wanted a bigger screen
I dont really understand the traffic thingy yet but if I get any problems with it I will let you know
Great site by the way I can see I will be here a fair bit |

I don't think so; you will need a new unlock code for the new maps. We will have to wait and see what the upgrade policy is when the new maps are available. Garmin attempted to introduce a tougher update policy with the new American maps but were forced into a partial back down by the weight of user unrest. |

As tynecomp says, the slip in the box will be for the maps you got with the unit. |
