The MDA recognises the GPS reciever as a BT GPS 15BCA8 when its paired up , the sticker on the back of it says its Copilot Model D1598
In tomtom GPS is set to "other bluetooth GPS" -it then says to make sure its paired so i press OK and the it says GPS is connected to ...
COM9
Serieal Cable on COM1
Internal Modem
BT UART
Serial on USB
Bluetooth seriel port ...
Bluetooth seriel port ...
I then have to selct one of these otherwise i cant go any further ..
If I select any of the it just says NO GPS device |

Ok unfortunately I dont know the MDA as such but it looks like your going in the right direction.
Firstly make sure the GPS is switched on and there is signs of life in it ,flashing lights normally tell all. and be patient it takes a time for Tomtom to recognise and get a fix through the GPS .
I would think you will be selecting one of the bluetooth on serial as you do watch the flashing lights to see if it connects ,the light will normally go solid for at least a short while if not try the other bluetooth on serial.
If you see a change in the lights action then start tomtom and go to change preferences and configure GPS with a bit of luck you will see some grey bars showing it trying to get a fix . This may take a while if the bars are moving its working so be patient. If and when the bars go blue your there a fixed position will then be displayed .
Try it and dont get frustrated it will work eventually _________________ Asus Zenfone 2 twin sim, Garmin Zumo 550, 660 and pocketgps speed camera database
