Is this normal? I have driven for about 15 miles, one trip into the next village, the other, this morning in to town with a detour on the way back.
On both occasions it placed 2 petrol stations in the wrong place. Yesterday, the one in the next village, placed it about 500 yards to the left of the road it should be on in a place thats occupied by a school. Today, i was taking a shortcut through an estate and apparently there was one right in the middle of the estate .
So is this common? Have i done something wrong since getting the device yesterday? Or are these POI's added by the public and some unscruptilous so and so's have imputted them for the inconvienience to us? (synical head that one). |

Many POIs are plotted using PostCode data which isn't always accurate enough. The map creators buy in this data accepting it on face value. It's not as bad as it used to be but I still regularly find POIs that are slightly off but luckily not enough to make them unusable. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Have you tried the POIs from this Site? They may not be 100% perfect, yet. But they're getting better every day. ;) _________________ Richard

What satnav do you use? TomTom, for instance, have new technology coming out soon whereby you can reposition the POIs to their proper positions. It will require new maps and application, though. _________________ Tim |
