I'd be more than happy to join in if someone needed a kicking over an issue or service but I'm also happy to sing their praises as well.
In this particular case I want to publicly go on record to say my recent brush with TomTom's repair service was SUPERB 8O . . . . yes you heard it correctly.
I posted my kit back on a Saturday morning - free of charge - in the free packaging they sent me. I had an email Monday morning to say they'd received it followed by another email 2 hours later telling me it had been repaired and was being shipped back. It arrived the following day.
So, posted on a Saturday, back in my hands on Tuesday . . . with a shiny new motherboard.
Credit where credit is due - a fantastic service. |

I think the silent majority are probably satisfied with TomTom service, it's just that we don't get as excited as someone who has had problems.
I had the same service as BodgerBaz when I had to send my One back for a replacement power board.

The exception maybe Tony but still worth giving credit for a job well done.

That is great to hear. I'm with the silent majority here - never had a problem with them. But isn't it great when you send something in to be fixed and you get it back a few days later, no problems? If my lovely XL ever has an issue, hopefully that will be the case with me. |

Just had a good experience too.
My mount snapped this morning, sucker fell out as the clear plastic bit inside broke off where it sits on a metal rod. Having read lots of bad things about customer service I expected the worse as it was a swap out for the original last September.
Guy on the phone didn't bat an eyelid, listened politely whilst I explained what/ when/ how and that I wasn't sure if it was a warranty issue or not. Gave me an RMA number and said follow instructions in the e-mail that would arrive shortly, did that and item in post.
Brilliant, perhaps they are realising that good customer service is a repeat purchase or recommendation winner? |
