co pilot data costs for TMC

Just got a orbit xda with co pilot and was wondering how much data and what sort of costs are we talking about when using TMC.

The costs will vary depending upon the frequency you have set to update the information, but the largest factor is your phone supplier - if its O2 be very careful as their charges are very high for GPRS access unless you have a data bolt on with your phone contract.

I used to use SPB GPRS Monitor software (before I got an unlimited GPRS tariff), The HTC and T-Mobile versions of the Artemis came with this software free - if your device has a software disk look for SPB GPRS Monitor if its their load it and configure it, you might need to check with your service provider as to the actual cost per MB etc but this software can log and warn you before you get hit with a large costly bill - Mike

i think it about 1mb per 400 miles from memory but as with mike i have an unlimited gprs with t-mobile so personally i dont moitor it
