TOMTOM2 ON IPAQ3870 IS NOT WORKING HELP

hi all i have purchasedtomtom2 with wired gps but when i have installed it it is extremely slow in responding to anything also i cannot get a gps siganl i ahve spoken to tomtom they advised me to try another sd card so i did and it is still the same anyone have any ideas or simalar probs please help cheers

- make sure your wired GPS is programmed to NMEA 4800
- in the TomTom GPS driver, select NMEA 4800 and COM1:
- take your SD card to a card reader, move all data off it, reformat, and move the data back on. If you have a Sandisk SD card, consider getting another brand.
