When u add POI's does this overwrite the ones already on there or just add to them?

That depends entirely on what SatNav system you are using and the method you use to add them.
Can you post again with some more details and we can give you a quicker answer |

I don't have a Garmin myself, but from what I've read here, you collect all the POI files together on your PC and then upload them all at once using POI Loader.
When you do that, it overwrites everything you had on the unit previously. |

Andy_P2002 is indeed correct. POILoader is the software you need to use and each time you load POIs with POILoader it'll wipe out all your existing ones, so you need to reload all the POIs in one go each time. |

just thought i;d point out that it ONLY affect custom POI's - ie ones you've added yourself. the inbuilt ones are not affected
