Where does TomTom Home put downloads (which PC folder)?

I just bought updated maps for my TT Go 700. It's downloading inside TomTom Home. This is annoying, I thought I'd end up with a "save file as..." so I could keep my own backup of the binary file.

i like to do this in case I ever need to format and re-install.

I can;t find where TT Home puts its download files. Any ideas?

By default somewhere under your documents.

I had specified my own folder for downloads, but TT Home has changed it back to the default path.

Your answer has reassured me that I'm looking at the right set of files.
