I do love tomtom (even if work do sometimes force me to use a navman)
I can put the maps in a sub folder called maps
\maps\GB-675
\France-600
\Jersey-801
etc
and it finds them .
But if I try and put POI's in a sub folder of the map, it only searches the map directory.
What I would like is
\Maps\GB\POI\speed-cams
\MOD-sites
\burger-bars
\level-crossings
\bus-crashes
etc
so that I can easily restore different configs. |

Agreed, the TomTom will not look in a sub-folder for it's POIs, but why do you need this?
If you have them all installed at once (up to the limit of 100 categories) you can just enable/disable them in the TT's menu.
The only time this is a bit of a pain is when you have something like the FULL speed-zoned set of speed camera files, where you would have to tick a lot of boxes to switch them all on or off, but for your Burger Bars, MOD sites, etc. it's just one tap to decide whether to have them visible on the map/navigation display or not.
Is that what you're after, or have I got the wrong end of the stick? |

I just like to keep things tidy, and tidy often means money saved.
When we are deploying to several hundred devices, which are in groups, if we could just
do a delete \devicexxx\gb\poi\group1
\group3
and an add \devicexxx\gb\poi\group4
rather than to be safe
delete \devicexxx\gb\{*.ovr,*.bmp}
add \devicexxx\gb\ <{standard.poi,group1.poi,group2.poi,*z.poi)
we have some poi groups that are changing almost daily. |

Have each set up on a different SD card?
I don't think TT will change anything, (unless it suits them). |
