Zapping the flash memory of a 910

I have had problems retaining the correct time on this device. TT have told me to zap the flash ROM and I have downloaded one utility from the web so to do. Apparently you know you are successful when the RTC displayed on a hard boot up displays 00:00. No matter how many times I do this, I can't reset it.

I used ttgo510-710.clear_flash going through the complete routine and all seemed to perform properly.

TT Help said there were two utilities. Any ideas?
