Hi
Hope this is the right place to ask this question..
Earlier today i downloaded the data base and have been busily setting it all up.. It all seemed very simple and following the excellent guide to setting it up on the 910 made it so easy.. However i have realised that for some reason there is no sign of the specs cameras in my manage poi's.. I have manageed to set up all the other types of cam but theses arent here.. Why would they not be showing up?? They have definitely been downloaded and extracted onto the units hard drive as i checked that the files were there myself!!
Am i missing something glaringly obvious??? Any help greatly appreciated!!!!!
Thanks

Which format database have you got? If Speed Zoned then you should see a number pocketgps_uk_specs_xx.bmp and .ov2 files.
Also this could be because you have too many POI categories installed, do you have many other POIs installed? _________________ Darren Griffin |

darren thanks
I have no idea how many other poi categories are installed.. Whatever the system came with..
What i cant work out is why the pocket gps gatso's and mobile cams and provisional mobile cams and red light cams have all come up and i have edited them but as i say there is no sign of the specs in the manage poi menu..
As i said before i know the specs files are on there the same as the other types of cam because i can see them on the hard drive of the tom tom!!!
How can i delete some other poi categorys if you think that may help??
Thanks |

p.S. Have also just looked in the enable/disable points of interest button on the preference menu which lists all the poi categories and the specs is the only one not to show on there aswell!! I downloaded the full speed zoned database by the way! |

Ok, can you tell me how many pocketpgs files are on the 910 in the map folder, you can browse it using Explorer from your PC. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hmm, well that's correct. And no other POI files in the same folder, just the PocketGPS ones? If so, might be worth downlaoding and copying them over again? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I ask because there is a limit of 100 POI files. Go above that and POI's start randomly disappearing from the menu's and maps.
The 100 POI limit does not include those POIs built-in to the system i.e airports, parking etc. This only refers to those you have installed yourself. Any POIs in the map folder would normally have to have been installed by you.
If you're happy doing so, remove all the POIs in the map folder except the PocketGPS ones and test. Be sure to only remove POIs though, not the map files themselves. Just files ending with .bmp and .ov2. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ah i see.. So the files that are in there currently are probably the files from Tom Toms speed cam system which are no longer required.. I will attempt to delete these..
Should the specs automatically start showing if this is right or will i need to reinstall??? |

Assuming it's too many POIs then yes they should become visible. _________________ Darren Griffin |
