Garmin Nuvi 300 -turning indication

I have read via this forum that this unit gives direction indication 0.2 of a
mile before the required turn and does not show intermediate junctions.
Some users regard this as a real problem and miss the correct junction.

Is this just a minor criticism or is it a serious issue.

The last warning seems to be at a variable distance from the actual junction (?based on time).

The screen gives very clear indication of the junction - bright mauve route highlight and white overlay of the actual junction. All the intermediate roads are shown - so there should be no excuse for missing the turn.

I have never found it a problem. Better than warning you at the very last second.

Also - only found this out the other day.. Don't know if it's in the manual - must read it sometime :D

In navigate mode touching the next turn indication will repeat the last instruction and display a 2D map of the junction - so no excuses for missing the junction!
