You don't....
You need Garmin csv.
Select Garmin in the first selection box, then one of the CSV variants (single all-in-one, consolidated by camera type, or split into speed zones) in the second which you then install using POI Loader.
POI Loader itself you get from Garmin
Instructions are HERE |

There certainly used to be a (Garmin) POI Loader option, because I used it only a few days ago. Perhaps the format has been changed in the last couple of days. I'd suggest that 'Consolidated by type' would be the nearest equivalent. This will not give speed limit icons for each camera, but will give icons for each type of camera. _________________ Tim |

Sorry if what I said was duff information, I was following the advice on the red/green section of the camera download page (just below the map), where it says that for the Nuvi series you use the csv option and then load that using POILoader. |

No Andy, your info is certianly not duff, at least not now. It's just that there used to be an option in the drop down list called Garmin POI Loader. This didn't download the POILoader application, but the database compatible with it. Perhaps MaFt can confirm/deny/clarify. _________________ Tim |

yes, it's been changed.
ANY csv files are compatible with poi loader - not just the consolidated one as it stated previously

Thank you to all of you for all your support. After having read your comments and reading the relative file types I assumed that for UK it would best to download "Single File". I hope I have made the correct decision. Thank you to all of you once again. |

The single file version is the easiest to try out first, but once you've got the hang of it all, don't forget you can download as many times as you like in your subscription period, so there's nothing to stop you trying one of the other options.
The main drawback to the single file version is that you will get lots of alerts for possible mobile sites (most of which won't be manned) but you won't be able to tell, as they will all just show as "a camera". This makes you think there are lots of false alarms. Using one of the other versions gives you the information about what type of site to expect, and what speed to do too, in the case of the speed-zoned one. |

If the nuvi works in the same way as the zumo, you will also get the a speed warning for a camera you're approaching, assuming that the camera in question has a speed attached to it. On the zumo this comes in the form of a red bar across the top of the screen showing the camera information. Another nice thing about the Garmin way is that you get an initial chime when you approach a camera. If you are within the limit then you get no further warning but if you are over, the chiming continues until you either slow down or pass the site. _________________ Tim |

My unit is the Garmin Nuvi 350. The previous download of the Camera database did exactly what you have mentioned. The type and speed were high lighted. As you say the warning did also persist till you slowed down. Having read in detail it appears that the "Speed Zoned" type of download may have been the original type of "Nuvi POI Loader" database. I shall take your advice and try out all three downloads to see which one suits me best. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP. |

From all the above do i read that my info was "Duff"?
I thought that nevillejames was looking for the Garmin POI downloader file.
His question was - Nuvi POI Loader is not in the Download Database Drop Down ?
So i pointed him to the Garmin Nuvi download page. _________________ TomTom Go 60

To GJF,
Sorry perhaps I did not make it clear enough. I do have the POI loader from Garmin. Probably you were not aware that the "Nuvi POI Loader" disappeared from the Speed Camera Database Download drop down menu. Thanks all the same. |

It was the right answer to the apparent question. 8) Andy and I read between the lines and answered the question that nevillejames meant to ask. _________________ Tim |
