I downloaded some of the POIs, but what do i do from there? should i just put the files in the download folder? I tried that, but my TomTom doesn't recognize them.

Copy the OV2s into the map folder. There is a maximum of 39 on v5 & 100 on v6.

And for every file ending with .OV2 there is a corresponding .BMP that also has to be copied into the folder containing your map.

Don't forget to open the downloaded .zip file on your computer first, so that you can see the .ov2 & .bmp files in order to copy them as mentioned above.

If you are still unsure as to exactly what to do please have a read of the set-up guide Here it was written around a 910 device but shows you the entire process from downloading to configuring the camera warnings - just ignore the warning set-up and the Text To speech part, if you are installing POI's other than Speed Cameras the process is identical - Mike
