Do you mean you can't use Add POI category?

Or do you mean you can't use Add POI?

Or both. Rolling Eyes

Have you tried a Reset? Remember it's the very tiny hole in the bottomof the Device. NOT the hole in the front where the Mount Release Catch is.

BOTH, can't do either (can't save a new POI or make a POI category), yes tried a reset, no avail. I also had another tomtom for years, this one is brand new, never had this kind of problem before.

My gut instinct would be to "take it back" as faulty.

I'm stumped on this one. I've never seen those error messages before.

See if the Retailer can get it to work. If they can, then you must be doing something different.

If they can't, get them to check all their stock till you find one that works. At least they will be aware of the problem, and so will TT when they tell them.

Bit of a nuisance, but somethings not right.

ok, it seems to be a bug.

Anyone, try this on your tomtom 910 i will bet it will fail until you turn off and on the device again.

1.) Hit your reset button
2.) Agree to the message the next time you turn it on
3.) Choose your map (North America in my case)
4.) WITHOUT turning off your device try to save a new POI or create a new POI category

This should reproduce the error. Also your last cleared route might return as an active route.

Turning your device off then on again will fix it. (no reset necessary)

Let me know via this thread if this is a bug for all tomtoms please.

Thanks!

How about using "Reset Factory Settings" in preferences?

Not a problem on my Go 300 - running ver 6.520. Not sure what message you are referring to in step 2.
