Hello and welcome to the forum.

Can you please give us some more information. What type of receiver are you using, what version of TomTom are you running, have you reinstalled the GPS driver etc.

HI

I am using version 3, I have installed all the software for my Dell pocket PC.
My receiver is wired.

What I cant understand is why I lost it of my Dell in the first place
I have also tried the hard reset on my Dell to see if it would solve the problem.

But I have no joy, I have e-mailed tomtom but they have not got back to me

Thanks for responding

When your Pocket PC runs out of battery or when you do a hard reset then you will lose all data and newly installed programs, and the machine will return to the factory settings.

For this reason you should do a backup of the Pocket PC as soona s everything is installed and working.

You may need to disable the infrared port in order to be able to connect to the serial receiver again.
