OK, I'm old and stupid, but I've just downloaded the new UK maps (I think). Are these version 675 (252.2Mb)?
Second query, I haven't got my favourites any more. I did a backup, but how do I get them back into tom tom |

Welcome to the forum, Version 675 are the latest maps released by TomTom.
Have a look at #12 on This Page which explains about transferral of Favs from the old map folder - Mike |

Thanks for that Mike. The reason for the query was that having shelled out £40 for the new maps, I found that the Bingley By-Pass A650 in Yorkshire and the A10 Puckeridge By-Pass in Hertfordshire, both open for about 4 years, are not on them and they both feature on an often used route
The link to the favourites question didn't really do the job. I backed up my old TT card and then replaced it with a bigger one. I then installed the new maps and updated speed cameras onto this new card, but no favourites.
I followed the instructions for finding the backup of them, but didn't know what I was looking for. Pathetic, isn't it |

I followed the instructions for finding the backup of them, but didn't know what I was looking for. | The required file is MapSettings.cfg, in the Map Folder. ;) _________________ Richard

Or... if you've updated from v5 maps it was called {whatever-your-map-name-was}.cfg
If that's the case you can just make a copy of it and rename it to MapSettings.cfg before you put it into your new map folder.
If you had any other POI categories that you had added (as opposed to the built-in ones) you'll need to copy those from the old map folder to the new one too. |
